Euphemisms aside, the type of instrument that the dentist uses to literally sculpt your tooth directly affects the outcome. Most dentists use air driven turbines. We use the micro-electric handpieces that are commonly used in Europe. These instruments have several advantages:
- Constant torque, which gives the dentist far greater control and precision
- MUCH QUIETER. No "whining", like an air driven handpiece.
- Much lower vibration.
- Total concentricity of rotation, which allows for far greater precision in our procedures, especially when using a microscope.
- The ultimate result of us using this technology is greater comfort for you (less noise, less vibration), and, due to higher precision, a better long-term longevity of your dental work, which is what our office is really all about.
