It's a pretty big claim to say that you are in the "forefront" regarding any particular field or technique. However, this is the case regarding our office in the use of CT scan / Computer Guided Implant Surgery in Wisconsin.
This technique involves coordinating your CT scan with a virtual surgery performed by Dr. Hart on our computers. Then, a surgical template is created by a computer in either Sweden or Belgium that precisely guides your implants into their exact intended position.
The resulting advantages for you are:
(1) High precision. Nerves and sinus areas can be avoided with extreme effectiveness.
(2) Way more comfort during implant surgery. Since the gum tissues do not need to be "peeled back", your comfort is highly enhanced.
As of November, 2008, Dr. Hart has performed more than 85 virtual surgeries using NobelGuide and Simplant, the two primary systems in this field.
