Implant dentistry involves providing titanium root forms in the jaw with precision. There is no question that the highest precision that can be obtained is the most desirable.

This is why "2 dimensional" x-rays, such as panoramic x-rays or simple dental x-rays are not really sufficient for implant diagnosis or placement in the majority of cases.

It is only logical. You are asking your doctor to place an implant in your 3 dimensional jaw. Why would you want him or her to rely on 2 dimensional imaging for such a procedure?

Since 2008, we have provided our patients with 3 dimensional imaging ("sometimes called 'Conebeam CT' or 'Dental CT').

This kind of imaging is absolutely necessary for the safe and effective placement of your implants in most cases.
