Microscopic Precision Dentistry
When you seek care at our office, you are assured that Dr. Hart and his staff avail themselves to the latest in technology to enhance the quality and precision fit of your dental restorations. When we implement technology, it is to improve the quality of your care.
In the summer of 2001, we were the first (and, to our belief, still the only) restorative dental office in Wisconsin to introduce high power 
microscopes to enhance the precision of patient care.
Dentistry is, when you think about it, micro-surgery. Using the same microscope that an ophthalmologist uses allows us to create dental restorations with incredibility precise fit and finish. You just cant do that with the naked eye, or even with the use of "loupes".
In addition to allowing precise, close up work, the microscope directs a beam of light directly on the teeth, minimizing glare to you.
There is no question that the introduction of the microscope into the delivery of dental care is profoundly significant. When you realize that a tooth is only 10 or so millimeters wide, and an area of decay can be as small as 1/10th of a millimeter (less than the width of a business card), you can see how the unaided eye just cannot perceive the detail that is necessary to provide you with the highest quality care possible.
1/10th of a millimeter can be the difference between needing root canal therapy or not.
